On a half-moon night with the lights out, a child hides under the covers. Armed with a flashlight and a book, she looks for alien lands, oases of beauty outside and so far above the forests of deadwood mundanity of daytime.

After a long ride on the bus of imagination, she closes the now-devoured book and counts sheep, falling into the light of dreams.
