As I point out in my Privacy & Affiliates Policies page, any commissions I earn by you buying something that I have an Amazon link for are aggregated once a year and donated to charity. Last Veteran’s Day, it was Disabled American Veterans. This year, it is the Gary Sinise Foundation.
If you don’t wish to use Amazon to purchase things, I’m not mad at you at all. In fact, I encourage you to purchase your books through bookshop.org and support the independent bookseller of your choice.
