Story Cubes story on top of "An Unquiet Mind" by Kay Redfield Jamison
Story Cubes on top of “An Unquiet Mind” by Kay Redfield Jamison

For better or worse, quiet or unquiet, we are all locked inside our own mind, that spacious cell created by a small calculating, judging gray meatball. We can’t even escape it when we sleep: that’s when it really comes out to play.

Since we’re stuck in it for life, it only makes sense to feed it nutritious things. We don’t need to buy things we don’t need to make it happy: it never is for long. We can turn off the disgusting dung-beetle TV binges: those aren’t an escape.

Your mind is your home. Make it something you want to live in. If you don’t, someone else will move in.

The comments section is the perfect place for what you came up with. I’m sure you did better than I did this week!
