Story Cubes on top of I Am Stan: A Graphic Biography of the Legendary Stan Lee

Stuck in the house on a rainy summer day, I eat an apple and open MAD magazine inside my blanket fortress. I discover a stroke of luck (or an unintentional act of shoplifting) when I find a comic book stuck inside its pages. I read it and it takes me everywhere. It’s not a brand of comic I’ve ever heard of, but all the stories and characters sound familiar. One of them is about a small child who overdosed on Pop Tarts and got a genetic mutation that causes her to grow into a werecat when she gets angry.

The story seemed so stupid to me, so I thought it would be easy to come up with a better one. After a long morning, at lunchtime I crawled out of my fort to eat a grilled cheese and had come up with nothing better than a sheep that gets struck by lightning on a clear day, turning its wool all the colors of the rainbow and transforming it into Supersheep, the arch-nemesis of the Border Collie of Steel.

Still better than all the superhero movies that Hollywood has been crapping out for the last twenty years.

The comments section is the perfect place for what you came up with. I’m sure you did better than I did this week!
