If you don’t know what story cubes are, see the introduction to the story cubes series.

To see the original roll of the story cubes, see yesterday’s post.

Sunday Story Cubes on top of Susanna Kaysen's "Girl, Interrupted"
Sunday Story Cubes on top of Susanna Kaysen’s “Girl, Interrupted”

I’ve searched the land from the driest desert to the tallest tower, looking for the place where the fish fly and the bees swim. This place… this place draws me home.

If you have seen the movie Girl, Interrupted but you haven’t read the book, you have a problem and you don’t even know it. Fix it as soon as possible. The book and the movie are cousins, not mother and daughter, and the book is definitely the smarter, prettier cousin. The movie fell apart at the end in a way the book didn’t.

I arranged the cubes to reflect a common poetic structure. Originally I had them so the last cube didn’t block the title, then I decided that it would be an opportunity missed forever if I didn’t interrupt Girl, Interrupted.

The comments section is the perfect place for what you came up with. I’m sure you did better than I did this week!
