If you don’t know what story cubes are, see the introduction to the story cubes series.
To see the original roll of the story cubes, see yesterday’s post.

What is ballet? What does it have to say, especially in an age where mental midgets such as Timothée Chalamet are treated like giants? We can look for the answer in books, but won’t find it there because dance isn’t an art on paper, it is an art of balance and motion. It is an active act, an art painted by his feet and her feet: a story more imparted than told.
It is, in the end, what it causes to flower in you. It is whatever within it that causes happiness within you for the moments you’re watching. It is what it is for as long as you’re watching it and smiling.
I didn’t fiddle with yesterday’s roll in order to put the scales where they ended up. It was a sheer act of luck that I wasn’t going to fiddle with because this story could have been only that one cube placed exactly where it already was. I got lucky with the feet and the pyramid being in the roll as well because I could make the foot be his feet and an inverted pyramid be her feet as she’s en pointe.
The comments section is the perfect place for what you came up with. I’m sure you did better than I did this week!

I'd love to hear from you!
