A random bolt of lightning strikes the Anne Frank museum. From her diary springs Anne’s imaginary friend, Kitty. Kitty runs away with the historical book and a reward is offered for its return. Kitty has to run from the police and is caught. She calculates a way to escape by launching a balloon that says, “I am here” in recognition of the refugees she’s encountered during her flight from the law. The balloon is roughly the shape of a fish, but her plan works.

This is my first foray into non-fiction with Story Cubes, because this actually is a book report of the kind I used to have to do in elementary school. All I left out was, “It was great.” Which it actually was, in fact.
