When he was three years old, Menuhin went to a concert by the violinist Louis Persinger and then told his parents he wanted a violin for his fourth birthday. He chose a life of play, but as last week’s Steinbeck quotation shows, is also a life of hard work.
Probably the biggest reason I write is because I don’t ever want to stop playing. I hope this is true for you, too.
