This month, I’ll be posting every day for those of you who are thinking of participating in NaNoWriMo: National Novel Writing Month. It’s simple: just write a 50,000-word work in between November 1 and November 30. That’s “just” 1,667 words a day. It’s the most fun you’ll have doing something incredibly hard.

While the numbers fluctuate from year to year, approximately 15% of people who start actually finish. In 2022, the number was 12.5%. If you want to be one of those tennish percent, I’ll help you this month with daily writing tips and stories of my own experiences.

I’ve completed NaNoWriMo every year since 2020, and I’ll be trying again this year. Every year you beat the 50,000 word monster, your profile picture gets another set of leaves added at the bottom. I have four, and this year I’ll be writing away for that fifth laurel. Feel free to look me up as a writing buddy, and I hope to see you there!
